How to Save a Life

Had I known to save a life,
I would've stayed with you all night.
Kept vigil 'til the morning light,
To keep away what brings such fright.
The dark does march in step with strife.
Its soldiers march for you tonight.
But don't lose heart, 'cause we just might
Know what it takes to save a life.

When I'm Gone (Autumn remix)

When I'm long, and when I'm gone,
And when my last breath has been drawn,
You'll find some comfort in this song:
'Cause you're gon' miss me when I'm gone.

I can't relate, 'cause how I hate
To circum-navi-ambulate.
So take your ticket long way 'round,
And bore me not with sight and sound.

And take your whiskey bottle two,
and go on gaping at the view.
I'm never saying nothing new,
And autumn leaves have vibrant hue.

But you're gon' miss me by my head.
Yeah, you're gon' miss me when I'm dead.
Right now I know you do not care.
But you're gon' miss when I'm not there.

The scenic roads got mountain, rivers.
Sights to surely make you shiver.
And these are facts I can't deny,
But still I let them pass on by.

Why would we take the long way 'round,
When open path direct?
The sights and sounds abound, abound
And earn my due neglect.
You're awed, inspired while I grow tired.
'Cause me?  I'm not impressed.
So build the funerary pyre,
And light it with respect.

But when the awesome trees are bare,
And sights aren't worthy of your stare,
And winter snows are so much glare--
You're gon' look if I'm still there.

'Cause when I'm long, and when I'm gone,
And when my last breath has been drawn,
There'll be some echo of this song.
Yeah, you're gon' miss me when I'm gone.

Master-less, the swordsman ronin.
Too stubborn to renounce the sword,
Ronin:  he, without a lord.
